Western approach of building a multistoried complexes in the resort places comes to Ukraine and many Ukrainian do accept it.

Somebody from the Ukrainian will be horrified: “Whether the Europeans permit to damage stunning sceneries by the concrete monsters?” And somebody will shrug: “Are we going to go for rest in order to live in a conventional apartment, but not in the mountain cottage or picturesque fishing house?”. It is necessary to say directly that all suspensions in the “negative” as for the multi-flats houses are absolutely groundless.

The tendency of building apartment type complexes in the resort areas appeared in Europe about 15 years ago. More and more people wished to be able to go for rest to the sea or mountains and to live not in a hotel but in a private real estate. Hence a middle class representative couldn’t allow to have a private cottage in such place . But buying an apartment for sale can be a possible thing. As it is very convenient: to come to the rest in the own flat with nice furniture you got accustomed to, own dishes and pots in the kitchen, favorite details in the living room and sport equipment in the storage room. The answer of developers and architects was the development of residential type house with not large quantity of flats (to 100). They differ from the city house by developed infrastructure, including sport facilities: swimming pools, gyms, playgrounds. The apartments mostly have a wonderful view of natural surroundings in order to give the people an atmosphere of living in a cottage, harmonically insert the establishments into the landscape, and provide the flats with wide balconies and terraces. So, two types of customers for such a Ukrainian real estate appear at the market – those who buy for themselves and those who buy in order to lease their new property. The latter have so many clients that their flat is paid back in several years already.

The demand for the multi-flats houses in Ukraine appeared a bit later than in the West. For instance many of citizens of Kyiv understood that a small unfinished apartment in the Crimea or old house in the Carpathians are much cheaper than even a meager cottage in the suburbs of the city, and as a result hurried to purchase. As the private accommodation can be used for temporal living of grandfathers with their grandsons, and come their when have a free minute and not to worry about the absence of places in the hotels. In answer to the demand the building of multistoried buildings actively started in the Crimea.

It seems that the first who borrowed the European approach for Ukraine became the currently in-built project “Eagle Valley” presented by the company Hanroc Developments UA. This complex is located in a famous resort area close to the outstanding ski resort Slavsk (Volosyanka), projected by the “Architect bureau Shul’ha” (Lviv). There are 75 two-, three- and four-room apartments located in the building that consists of 4- and 6-floors blocks. Their inhabitants will be able to use not deep swimming pool (for swimming with children), gym, solarium, massage room and sauna. Definitely West has more people who desire to admire the attractiveness of “green” tourism, but hence there are also many people who are not used and do not wish to dispense hot water. So we want to believe that there will be more and more residential complex in our resorts. 

Britains in Ukraine

Ukraine is the country that recently interested not only Western countries but also whole world. Now everybody in our country – including authorities, scientists, businessmen, sportsmen – try to present Ukraine for other countries from its better side. For example Ukrainian-Britain company UAproperty specializing on operations with property organized press-tour to the Carpathians for the journalists from Great Britain leading journals. The Britain were demonstrated by the fabulous nature beauty, were tasted by the national cuisine dishes, and were ridden on armored troop-carrier in order to increase the impressions. Daily Express reported that Ukraine has much to be proud of except of Andriy Shevchenko and top-models who completely filled the podiums of the world: here the nature is very different and picturesque, adorable architecture memorials, wonderful folklore and delicious cuisine. We do know that but this is a discovery for the citizens of Albion. Mail on Sunday even found an Englishman who bought a one-room Ukrainian property in Slavsko and also has an apartment in the French Alps, but he decided to sell the French real estate as “living in Ukraine is much cheaper and funnier”.
