
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn said that the state budget provides funds for realization of Ukraine's ambitions to host the Winter Olympics-2022 in the Carpathian Mountains.
"With all the poverty of our state budget, we made a certain amount of money to now were worked the issues related to the preparation, implementation of our claims and our proposals to Ukraine held the Winter Olympic Games in 2022," - he said in an interview channel "Rada", which aired on Sunday.
According to the speaker for the Olympic Winter Games in Ukraine needs to do a lot, "but time is running very fast."
Earlier, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said that Ukraine is among the five countries that are eligible to hold the Winter Olympics in the Carpathian Mountains in 2022.
"We've done a great job with the International Olympic Committee. We have already entered, can be told, among the five countries , who pretend to hosting this tournament. We have a project, and we are not waiting for the decision, already started to work," - said the head of the state at a press conference on July 8. |
