Ukrainians in November 2010 purchased foreign currency by USD1.729 billion more than sold whereas the difference in October was USD1.7745 billion.
As the National Bank of Ukraine informed on its Web site, the citizens of Ukraine purchased USD3.172 billion from banks and sold them USD1.432 billion in November. Currency purchases by households in November decreased by 2% from October, while sales increased by 7.4%.
The general quantity of purchase and sale deals on the cash Forex market in November was 1.2% up from October, to USD4.623 billion.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, individuals' bank deposits in hard currency expanded by USD18.5 million last month to USD15.986 billion as of November 30, 2010. |
