World Bank provides Ukraine with 140 mln USD in order to catalyze the development of cities infrastructure and improvement of residential services.
This project is going to be spread to Chernihiv, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Odesa regions, as media-service of Ministry of Finance reports. The major part of the project will be given to the communal establishments for the improvement of water supplying systems, modernization of sewer systems and recycling of firm rubbish. The project also provides some expanses for the energy saving systems, in particular for the change of special equipment to more effective one. All these innovations in the cities are going to increase the level of housing services and the quality of local Ukrainian property.
The agreement as for the project will be signed between the Ukrainian government and International Bank of Reconstruction and Development. The agreement about project execution will be also signed between IBRD, mentioned regions and communal enterprises.
Suggestions as for the initiation of this project were agreed on the Cabinet of Ministry session, and the responsibility was laid on the Ministry of building, architecture and housing and communal services. |
