
In March 11 in Brussels Kyiv and Brussels have concluded an agreement to prolong for one more year the Ukraine-EU Action Plan, announced Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko at a joint press conference with the leadership of the European Union in Brussels.
"We have concluded an agreement to prolong the effect of the program for one more year, while new political equipment will be created for relations between Ukraine and the European Union," Tymoshenko noticed.
Tymoshenko also reported that Kyiv and Brussels also agreed that Ukraine will do its best to realize additional 23 provisions in these relations.
She said that these provisions include beginning of a Ukraine-EU discussion on introducing a free-visa regime, creating a common air area, and drawing up and implementing a transport strategy that will help develop transport corridors.
Tymoshenko added the provisions also possess Ukraine's realizing thematic programs that, in her mind, had earlier been available for EU states and candidate countries. In particular, she has mentioned the Fiscalis program on collaboration between the customs bodies of EU countries, as well as a program on EU states responding to emergency situations.
The current Ukrainian Prime Minister proclaimed that the parties had also agreed a joint report on implementing a finalized three-year Ukraine-EU Action Plan. The meeting's participants had a look through the resolution of a list of problems in the process of realizing this plan, Tymoshenko said. |
