Meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk with State Secretary of USA Condoleezza Rice - September, 2007

Unites States of America are interested in perspectives of cooperation with Ukraine, in particular in problems of political dialogue, trading-economical and sectored collaboration, cooperation in the sphere of energetic safety, protection, counter-act in the widespread of mass distortion weapon, as well the questions of regional safety. Such topics were discussed at the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk with State Secretary of USA Condoleezza Rice in New York.

As it was later reported the heads of foreign political departments of two countries discussed possible terms of visits in a high level. In this context Arseniy Yatsenyuk invited Rice to visit Ukraine in the nearest time.

Besides, the parties discussed the condition of preparing of new "Road map" of the Ukrainian -American relations. The main attention will be paid on problems of educational programs, student and youth exchanges. The heads also analyzed political situation in Ukraine, estimating holding of elections in Ukraine that will take place on 30 September, 2007 and as well preparing to the coming Presidential elections in USA.

It is necessary to admit that it was the first meeting of the Ukrainian Minister from planned 20 bilateral meetings with heads of political departments of foreign countries, in the framework of 62-nd General Assembly of UNO in New York.

Let's remind the 62-nd General Assembly of UNO was officially opened in the New York headquarters on 18 September.
