UEFA President Michel Platini will primarily study Ukraine's political and economic situation during his official visit to Ukraine in April, President of the Ukrainian Football Federation (UFF) Hrihoriy Surkis has reported.
He was giving a speech on Wednesday on the Shuster Live TV show on the Ukraine television channel.
"I received a letter today from Mr. Platini with data that he will visit Ukraine on April 14-15. He wishes to know the state of political stability and about Ukraine's financial and economic situation," Surkis added.
"We have to speak today about the fact that the parliament has to, and I suggest it will pass a set of legislative acts making this European country investment climate more attractive under conditions of economic crisis," the UFF president noted.
Making comments on the parliamentary hearings held on Wednesday on the preparings for hosting the European football championship finals in Ukraine, Surkis mentioned they "showed no reason to speak about opposition in our country as to hosting Euro 2012."
Moreover, he added hosting Euro 2012 in Ukraine was "a very great, right and practical investment into the future of our kids and our country." |
