Relatively stable property market in Kiev has recently went through stress when swindlers managed to steal about 65 million dollars and more than 1200 investors lost their future apartments. It is well known that more than 50% of primary housing accommodations in Kiev was paid at the first stage. In other words investors deposited money for accommodations while only the building fundament was constructed. Everyone was much satisfied with such a scheme. The builders received full financing of the works and investors in return – relatively inexpensive dwelling meters. Almost all the building companies have broken the terms of buildings to be put into commission. But the investors reacted quite calm on such fact since it was compensated with a permanent property prices increase. Years of such practice made vigilant everyone ( powers, law enforcement bodies, investors).
Sure thing some conclusions will be made and the number of small building companies are likely to leave property market what can certainly lead to slight price fluctuations. Maybe potential customers will become more loyal to the secondary flat market.
