If you are a visitor of our country and plan to come to the capital of Ukraine, you probably don't need to know the Ukrainian language to feel comfortable. This is due to pretty good knowledge of the Ukrainians of, for instance, so commonly used English. BUT…You have to remember that really not all Ukrainians know English, especially people, who are about 40-50 years old.

 So, if you decided to stay in Kyiv for long, we recommend you to start studying Ukrainian or Russian in order to understand people better.

Studying Ukrainian, Russian or any of other languages is not a problem in Kyiv.  Several quality language learning schools are available in the capital.  The British International School is one of the oldest and the best language schools in Kyiv.
