
Kyiv management on Construction of Road-Transport Facilities municipal enterprise forecasts absence of any ecological effect during reconstruction of road interchange on Leninhradska Square in Kyiv Dniprovskyi district.
The management directorate disclosed this in a statement, text of which Ukrainian News has.
The reconstruction assumes construction of two flyovers joining Voziednannia and Haharina Avenues, Haharina Avenue and Kharkivske Highway, and also construction of tunnel uniting Kharkivske Highway and Voziednannia Avenue.
Besides, the renovation of the square foresees removing of traffic lights on the major directions, which would increase its traffic capacity and average speed of the transport flow.
That would also allow decrease of air pollution and the level of noise.
The management directorate also forecasts reduction of possibility of road accidents on the square.
According to the plan of the renovation, a total of 103 trees, 514 bushes, 122,000 square meters of lawns and 116 square meters of flowerbeds.
However, the management directorate plans to retain as much planted area as possible: replant 34 trees, plant 249 new conifers, 138 broad-leaved trees, 370 bushes, and 1 hectare of lawns.
As it was earlier reported, Kyivavtodor municipal enterprise intends to reconstruct road interchange on Leninhradska Square by 2012.
The reconstruction will cost 377 million of hrn. |
