Rental rates for premises in the logistics centers in the capital and Kyiv region in 2009 will be in the range from 5.5 USD to 8 USD per one m2 depending on the quality of premises if the currency rate is stable, according to a press release of DTZ (Kyiv).

By now the level of vacancy in the logistic centers in the capital and Kyiv region is about 22%, and it could be about 23-29% at the end of 2009.

"From January to April 2009 about 70 000 m2 of warehouse buildings had been commissioned in Kyiv region. In the first quarter of 2009 about 19 000m2 of warehouse buildings were put into operation, which was 67% down on the 2008 indicator," the press release reads citing Iryna Zalizenko, the chief director, the head of the industrial and logistics property department at DTZ.
