Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and city officials on October 23 opened a viaduct linking Kyiv's Podil district to Rybalsky Island.

The 318-meter Novy Havansky Bridge and connecting hubs are ammended to ease commutes to the city centre by motorists in the city's Obolon and Minsk districts, as well as for citizens on the left bank who motor daily the Dnipro River on the Moskovsky Bridge.

The opening of the viaduct was firstly planned for November 6.

Azarov was accompanied at the opening ceremony by Kyiv Deputy Administration head Oleksander Popov and Kyiv ex head Oleksandr Omelchenko.
