New ski season has been started in the Carpathians! And specialists look forward this season with optimism. Forecast assures that snow will "cover" the economical crisis.

This year all Ukrainian ski resorts have a great success. Firstly, the season started pretty early - at the end of November. Secondly - due to expansion of Schengen area visa regime has intensified. That is why frequenters of Zakopane, Upper and Lower Tatry - now will probably choose to come to the Western area of Ukraine.

This season prices on three most popular Ukrainian ski resorts - Dragobrat, Bukovel and Slavske - have grown y 30%. But despite of this, all the rooms are already reserved for two months ahead. Inflow of tourists is so large that it is often necessary to form lines.

On the highest mountain Ukrainian ski resort Dragobrat infrastructure is being developed very quickly. This resort became famous not long ago, and mostly due to warm winters. As it is the only place where the snow lies during whole ski season - from November till May. Snowy clouds are kept here by the horseshoe-shaped range.

New ski resort Bukovel is never empty in winter. All cozy wooden chalets are already reserved till 15 January, despite of pretty high price.

For living in a separate house - chalet you will have to pay more than a thousand of USD per night. Of course level of service is also very high. The price of any drinks in cafe and fast-foods starts from 10 hrn. Rent of skis and way up on the ski lift cost almost the same sum as on other Ukrainian ski resorts. But the quality of ski ways here definitely is close to the European one. Yet they cover about 53 km, but even now there are building works carried out there, the quantity of private houses and mini hotels growths every season. Recently International Ski Competition was held here - for the first time in 20 years.

Six new ski lifts have been opened in ski resort Bukovel. The tourists are not afraid of economic crisis. They are sure, who "is sick with skis" will always find a possibility "to be cured there".

Another ski sport base "Dynamo" is being developed also very quickly. Its director assures - Trostyan will be modernized as soon as it is possible.

Hence, here is a place loved by tourists. The main thing is necessity of snow. And comfortable transport net. Slavsko can be easily reached by the skiers by train.

This weekend in Kyiv you will also have the possibility to ski. Thus was told by the ski instructors in Protasov Yar. "If there is frost on week end the ski season can be considered as opened", - they say.

To study how to ski on a single in Kyiv ski way with artificial snow will be possible for 120 hrn per hour (with participation of instructor). And snowboard instructor consulting will cost 150 hrn per hour. Ski lifts have grown in price by 1 hrn, comparing to the previous year - the small one will be 6 hrn and the large one - 7 hrn. Weather forecast predicts decrease of weather till 0 on week end, so opening of new ski season in Kyiv is possible.
