Kyivmiskbud holding Kyiv Ukraine real estate Construction Company announced it had intensions to start building of a new residential area in February 2009. Vasyl Mozhar, the company's Vice-president, mentioned it was going to be situated on the left bank of the city, in Osokorky district.

There are by now six residential sub-areas in this Kyiv district, all including high-rising buildings. "This is perhaps going to be the last of residential areas on idle territory. We'll be ready to present it in January-February, 2009" he admitted.

He added the company had plans to construct 180 000 square meters of residential space, or about eight high buildings. "We'll start building in February 2009," he said. Mozhar noted Kyivmiskbud is trying to make sure its residential building projects stay at the planned level.

Kyivmiskbud is one of the largest Ukrainian property construction company. It has constructed 731 800 square meters of residential space in 2007, or 0.8 percent up from last year. It built 43 buildings in our country, including 10 outside the capital with the total area of 92 000 square meters.

The volume of construction of the property for sale in Ukraine decreased by 3 percent year-on-year in January-August 2008.
