"Government decision to increase the coefficient of calculation the normative monetary valuation of land to take effect - said the director of center "Land Reform Policy in Ukraine" Maxim Fedorchenko. - This means that all payments will increase, which were calculated as a percentage of this figure. In the first place a rent and land tax, a single agricultural tax."

The total amount of lease payments for land, according to the State Land Agency, in 2011 was nearly 6 billion UAH.
