From 22 to 30 October 2011 in the capital of Ukraine Kiev to host the 41st International film festival "Molodist". Film-opening of the festival - a historical drama "Battle in Warsaw. 1920" in the 3D the director Jerzy Hoffman. The competitive program consists of 50 films, in the non-competitive program scheduled to run more than 140 films.
Festival Centre will be the kinotheater "Kiev", and events will take place in cinemas, "Zhovten", "Kinopanorama", "Kievan Rus", cultural-educational center "Master Class".
Traditionally, the competition program of the festival include: "Student films," "The first short films" and "The first full-length feature films". Program will be evaluated: The main international jury, the international jury of Film Press FIPRESCI, Ecumenical Jury and the International Jury of Film Clubs. The festival also awarded a prize of spectator of the jury. Symbol cinema event - "Scythian Deer", the Grand Prix.
In recent years, an integral part of the "Molodist" has become a competitive program "Ukrainian panorama." A separate selection committee creates a program of short films of young Ukrainian filmmakers.
Also, movie fans expect non-competition program of the festival: Ukrainian premieres, French Connection (French-speaking cinema from around the world), Deutsche Welle, The New Russian Cinema, Nordic Panorama, the Polish school of animation, the program of the Polish documentary film, Long nights short film: Germany, long nights short film: France, Festival of Festivals, Cinergy, Eye on film, as well as Retrospective of the outstanding French actress Sandrine Bonnaire.
Among the special events at the festival: a multimedia performance "Portraits", "Manya. The history of the tobacco factory worker" - the special featured movies accompanied by a chamber orchestra, Syril Tushi "Khodorkovsky", "Juraj Yakubisko," Kim Ki-Duk "Arirang", "Vaclav Havel" "Roman Balayan - 70", "Ivan Mikolaichuk - 75", "EURO2012.
