The start of the first light city train to run from the Troyeschyna station to the Petrovka station is to be held at 2 pm on August 31, 2009, the press service of Kyiv city state administration has said.

First passengers of the first city train will be Mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky, first deputy head of Kyiv city state administration Denis Bass, the leader of the Pibdenno-Zakhidna Railways Oleksiy Kryvopishyn, general director of Kyivpastrans Mykola Lambutsky and mass media representatives.

Fares for the city train will be set in line with city tariffs for municipal public traffic. Passengers entitled benefits would use the city train for free.

New buses N59, 60 and 61 will bring passengers from the Troyeschyna, Raydushny and Voskresenka districts of Kyiv.
