Lately became known that Great Britain is absolutely ready to assist Ukraine in its intensions to join the European Union, UK Minister for Europe Caroline Flint has mentioned.

"The United Kingdom government supported the Euro integration intensions of Ukraine for a long time, and with our right of voice in the European Union, we will keep supporting through our two-side relations Ukraine's intensions to gain membership of the European Union," she added at a briefing that was held in the capital of Ukraine on Wednesday.

She noted that 2009 would be a "very good possibility for us to keep holding this trend and move further."

Flint noted she was satisfied with her visit to Ukraine and mentioned that an agreement had been reached on the development of various relations between the two governments.
