Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has reported the retail price of fuel will fall by 0.40 hrn per liter from November 1, 2008 and by 1 hrn from December 1, 2008.

"The market operators have committed to decrease fuel and diesel fuel prices by 0.40 hrn from November 1, 2008 and by 1 hrn from December 1, 2008" she admitted after a meeting with fuel traders on Monday.

Tymoshenko noted that the Ukrainian government would not increase taxes in turn.
