State of agricultural production and agricultural economy of the country makes to introduce certain restrictions on categories of buyers and owners of land. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Nikolai Bezugly.

Thus, the draft law on the land market is limited participation of foreign capital in the purchase of agricultural land in Ukraine, individuals-foreigners and legal entities founded by foreign individuals or foreign companies.

"In the first stage we consider that the possible owners and participants in the purchase and sale of land may be Ukrainian citizens - individuals, farms, and the state on behalf of the commissioner of state authority ", - he said.

The end of last year, the Government proposes to allow companies with foreign investment purchase non-agricultural land, whereas today the purchase of land allowed for joint ventures with participation of foreign businesses and individuals.
