International deluxe hotel operator Swissotel Hotels & Resorts has recently concluded an agreement with Ukraine's KDD Group to manage its 5-star hotel currently under building in Kyiv.

The Swissotel Kyiv will be a part of Sky Towers complex on Peremohy Prospect, close to the center of the capital and the main train station. The new hotel is supposed to be the highest in Kyiv and the first of Swissotel in our country.

It will be constructed to welcome guests for the Euro 2012 soccer championships in June of that year. Ukraine is co-hosting the Union of European Soccer Associations' event with Poland.

"Following on from our successful Russian hotel in Moscow, Swissotel Krasnye Holmy, Swissotel Kyiv will be another strong step for us in our expansion into Eastern Europe," mentioned Meinhard Huck, president of Swissotel Hotels & Resorts. "The Ukrainian metropolis is also one of the most important transport points/centers of communication in Eastern Europe –Huck added.
