
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko promised to support Ukraine farming sector with financing of in full in 2009 using money from the state budget.
"From now until the end of the year I will charge the Finance Ministry and the government with correcting the situation with the financing of the agro-industrial complex so as to meet all of the set figures by the end of the year," the prime minister reported at a meeting with farm workers on the case of their professional day in Kyiv on Wednesday.
She admitted that only UAH 9 billion out of UAH 12 billion foreseen for the agro-industrial complex for 2009 had been allocated.
Tymoshenko noted that all financing stipulated for this year would be allocated to the agro-industrial complex.
She reminded that UAH 8.5 billion was allocated to the agro-industrial complex in 2007 and UAH 12 billion in 2008. |
