The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is ready to take part in co-financing of the acquisition of 93% of stocks in OJSC Ukrtelecom, EBRD First Vice President Varel Freeman told recently.
According to his words, the EBRD could help potential purchasers of Ukrtelecom to finance the acquisition and participate in shared financing in a consortium which will be announced the holder of the Ukrtelecom tender.
Freeman also noted that the Bank is ready to cooperate with any of the bidders and does not give preference to any of them.
He added the EBRD will take part in shared financing only if the Ukrtelecom tender is held on a transparent and competitive basis.
As was noted, the State Property Fund on October 13, 2010, called a tender to sell a 93% state stale in OJSC Ukrtelecom at an auction. The tender is scheduled for December 28, 2010, the starting price of the stockholding is fixed at Hrn 11 billion. |
