
The Itochu Corporation in Japan wants to construct the metro in Kyiv. It was learned form the press service of the deputy leader of the the Kyiv city state administratiuon Valerii Myronov.
Representatives of the Kyiv city state administration met with a delegation of the Japanese corporation in the construction of the city state administration.
"It has been decided that the municipal company Kyivskyi Metropoliten [running the Kyiv metro] to supply with future basic data on the building of the fourth line [Podilska-Vyhurivska] to the Japanese side," says the statement.
During the meeting, the delegation of the Itochu Corporation noted they wanted to provide metro cars to the municipal company Kyivskyi Metropoliten on the terms of financial leasing.
As it was reported, the Ukrainian Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Sumitomo Corporation and the Itochu Corporation that both are situated Japan in March 2009 arranged collaboration in developing Ukrainian transport infrastructure.
In particular, the Transport and Communications Ministry have concluded a memo with Itochu on the latter's participation in building railway connection between Kyiv and Boryspil (Kyiv region). The terms of cooperation will be defined by a tender.
The parties have agreed to form a joint ad hoc expert group of carrying out the project.
Itochu leads a corporate group of 1000 fully integrated subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide.
