This was stated by the Director of the Department of State programs and housing development of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Alexander Nepomnyashchiy.

"If we talk about tendency cost in the housing market, we can say that the crisis has affected in this situation positively. And developers are actually refuse from that profitability which was. And on a large part of markets, particularly in Kiev, housing becomes cheaper", - said Nepomnyashchiy.

According to him, today there are no bank loans and mortgages, so there is no speculative component, which would soon forced to build housing.

"Therefore, the investor not be held money in the housing sector. And, unfortunately, does not have the tempo of housing construction. Although according to operative data, in Kiev, compared with 2010 in 2011, was put into operation by 5% more housing" - the official said.
